Absence of Hatred

Why does this quality of absence of hatred and the next quality of absence of pride call to mind views of our planet from both far away and nearby - far away as seen in the famous "Pale Blue Dot" photo taken at a distance of 3.7 billion miles from our collective home. Nearby, as in this image of our Earth taken from Moon orbit.
Is it because a wider view of our home grants us a perspecitve we are blinded to when we are consumed with anger?
