Chandausi

These readings are from “The Heart of Eastern Mystical Teaching” by Hari Prasad Shastri (1882-1956). Shri Dadaji of Aligarh (1854-1910) was a modern day saint of India. While he kept no formal ashram, many, including Hari Prasad Shastri considered him their spiritual master.
Reading 1: In this reading the father of Shri Dada, Pundit Behari Lalji, having lost his worldly possessions, visits his son seeking help. The response of Shri Dada to his father (who had disavowed him after Shri Dada took up a religious life instead of entering into the family business) is a lesson in charity and forgiveness as is the response of his wife who offers her future financial security to her father-in-law.
